I just wanted to do something totally random and off the wall. I spent more time trying to figure out what to do than actually doing it. At first I wanted something that would make a great portfolio piece. But now...ugh. This won't be going in there, that's for sure. Still trying to iron out some bugs or...something.

birthday card update

so this is what I am going with, my mom'c bday is monday so I thought i'd make a card. I figure its also a good way for them to maybe understand what exactly it is I do at school other than "art"
im thinking about making an envelope to match it as well

recipe thingy so far

So I am going with the "1950's retro-housewife" look. Like the kitchens of homes on TV shows I grew up with; leave it to beaver, bewitched, etc.
Tater tot casserole is a dish that just seemed to fit that era as well.
I dont think I will be going with that typewriter type on the recipe cards, but something else a lil more fitting.

I have an awesome neighbor

So every now and then I come home and notice my driveway is leaf free suddenly, and I found out my neighbor blows it for me. really nice guy, a really good neighbor to have, so I thought I'd make him a thank you card and something to go with it.
